ladybug cake

This was a fun cake that I made for a first birthday party. The customer was not a big fan of fondant (eventhough my homemade marshmallow fondant is amazing), so I made this with buttercream roses. I love how it turned out!

Doctor Cake

Happy 30th Birthday to a pretty amazing resident! This is probably my favorite cake of all time.

Monkey baby shower cake

I made this for a very large baby shower. This matches the bedding that mama picked out for her new baby's nursery. This was a vanilla and chocolate cake. My favorite pat of this cake is the ruffly boarder. I also really love the monkey!

Whale of a time cake!

Miss Caroline turned one this weekend, so we made her a pretty special cake! This was the famous almond vanilla flavor that everyone seems to want. I made this cake in Dallas and had a really hard time with it because the humidity was so high! It turned out cute, but took longer than expected.

Caroline's smashcake!

M&M cake

I made this gluten free, egg free cake for a very sweet little boy's birthday. It was pretty dense and tasted similar to banana bread. I'm really happy with the way the m&ms turned out on top. They are made of fondant. I made this cake while my kitchen was in the midst of a remodel, hence the messy background.

Ninja Turtle cake

Hudson's 3rd birthday party was a ninja turtle karate party. Mikey is is favorite ninja, so I made a simple Michelangelo cake for the party. He wanted a lemon a lemon cake, so this was a fresh lemony flavor. Happy Birthday, Hudson!

The Blunt Wedding Cakes

Not much explanation is needed for these cakes. They turned out perfect. The wedding was a rustic winery in Kansas City. We were able to find a nice size tree that had recent;y fallen and make some pretty perfect cake stands. This was my almond vanilla cake and again it was a huge hit! You cannot go wrong with this flavor!
 The beautiful bride and groom

Rose Birthday Cake

The boys and I made this cake for Mimi's birthday. It uses a crazy amount of frosting, but it is hands down the easiest cake that I have ever made!  There are fresh strawberries between each layer of cake

ruffle cake

I made this cake for a YMCA fundraiser. It was an almond vanilla cake. So yummy! I hope it raised a lot of money!

Christmas Cake

Here is an example of my Christmas cake. I like to make a chocolate vanilla swirl cake with candy cane frosting. It is delicious! I used some fun cake glitter on this to make it look more wintery.

Bob the Builder cake

I made this Bob the Builder cake for my son's fourth birthday party. He absolutely LOVED it! It was the first cake that I made after returning to Kansas. I used Oreos for the dirt and crunch candy for the rocks. The hard hat is made out of rice crispy treats and fondant. This cake was definitely the focal point of the party.

Birthday Bow

I just made this for an 89th Birthday party. I love this bow. It takes some time, but it's so great looking!

Construction cake

I love this cake! I made it for a friend of mine and her son was thrilled! It was a fun and fairly simple cake. It was easy because I used whoppers as the boarder vs rolling fondant balls, which is a cheaper option. The dirt is made out of Oreos. The 'mudslide' was made out of chocolate frosting, Oreo, and whoppers.

Justice's High School Graduation Cake

I made this with a few of my younger nieces for one of the nieces that graduated high school. It was a fun cake ad matched the party decorations.

The Little Mermaid Cake

This cake took a long time to make, but it was worth it! Special props to Audrey Tan for helping me! I made this for a little girl's birthday party. I decided to make the bottom for the cake look like a mermaid fin and the top to look like bubbles. I used a fun shimmer over the entire cake. We were thrilled with the outcome. I am very grateful for the figurines because I was not looking forward to trying my hand at making Ariel out of fondant,

The Owl Cake

This is probably my all time favorite cake. I made this for a neighbor. It was a delicious lemon cake with lemon drizzle and lemon frosting. The owl was made out of rice krispies.

Rainbows and unicorns

My friend's daughter had a rainbows and unicorn birthday party, so I made a super fun and colorful cake. The inside of this cake is is tie-dye, just like the fondant. I was really nervous making the rainbow. Turns out using floral wire does the trick! The fondant clouds were a must have to support the rainbow. This cake was such a hit! the 4 year old girls thought it was the coolest thing in the world. . . so did their moms!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

This was not my best work, but everyone still enjoyed it. I made this for my friend's 30th birthday party. I wanted to make it look like Doni was coming out of the sewer.  The actual turtle was made out of rice krispy treats and the sewer lid is fondant wrapped cardboard. I'm hoping to have a reason to make this again, so I can redeem myself!

The Hungry Caterpillar Cake

Hudson's first birthday party! We had a wonderful party at the park with tons and tons of cake. Everyone had a belly ache when they left. Lol!
This was a joint party, so I made an individual cake for each of the kiddos turning one. The cupcakes were chocolate and vanilla. We had so much cake!!!

Car Cake

Harrison turned two (two years ago)!!!! I'm pretty behind on the blog. His birthday was a a car theme and I made a cake to match the invitations and decor.  It was a vanilla cake. The top layer was dairy free, so everyone at the party could enjoy it!
